University of Leoben (MUL), Austria joins the University of Southern California (USC) Reservoir Monitoring Consortium (RMC). MUL-USC Reservoir Monitoring Initiative will capitalize on the strengths of the two universities to address challenging issues in drilling (such as kick detection), and in enhancing well integrity. Prof. Michael Prohaska, Chair of Drilling Engineering, University Leoben and Prof. Fred Aminzadeh, Managing Director of USC RMC are shown in front of the Petroleum and Mining Engineering Building in MUL (in pic). Prof. Gerhard Thonhauser, Head of Department of Petroleum Engineering at MUL, will serve on the Strategic and Technical Advisory Board of RMC.
