Chevron Annual Engineering Week Competition focused on providing solutions with advance technologies for operation practices. One key challenge is to address gas flaring in oilfield operations with tremendous environmental implication. The winning team, comprised of Ph.D. and Master’s students (most associated with the USC GEN/RMC) won the 1st place. Their Lean Green Operation (LGO) implemented the needed green solutions for operation optimization and production efficiency. The LGO solutions incorporated cementing Nanotechnology, Drones monitoring system, fluid cutting smart storage and zero flaring network. The wining team members Ahmed Bubshait (team leader), Abdulrahman Bubshait, Abdualziz Al-saleh, Atefeh Jahandideh,Xiaoxi Zhao and Alhan Salman.
